Production Trimmer – Manufacturing

About the opportunity

Leading Edge National Staffing is recruiting a mechanically inclined Production Trimmer for a manufacturing operation in Mississauga. The role supports trimming and sub-assembly work while maintaining production, quality and workplace-safety standards.

The position combines hands-on tool use, blueprint interpretation, production documentation and independent work in an industrial environment.

Key responsibilities

• Perform trimming and sub-assembly work according to production requirements.
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Read blueprints, work instructions and production requirements.
• Follow production schedules and daily output expectations.
• Scan job barcodes and complete production documentation.
• Work independently while communicating effectively with team members.
• Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area.
• Follow OHSA requirements, PPE rules, WHMIS training and company safety procedures.
• Report hazards and unsafe conditions promptly.

Qualifications

• Minimum Grade 12 education.
• Mechanical aptitude and comfort using hand and power tools.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints.
• Ability to lift up to 25 lb.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Previous trimming or manufacturing experience is an asset.
• Reliable attendance and commitment to production requirements.

Position details

• Full-time on-site role in Mississauga, Ontario.
• Public pay rate: CAD 21 per hour.
