Role description
National procurement leadership role for a food manufacturing and distribution company. The position defines and deploys a national sourcing strategy, integrates decentralized purchasing into a harmonized model, negotiates supplier agreements, builds procurement governance and risk-management practices, optimizes inventory and working capital, develops procurement performance measures, and partners with operations, finance, quality, logistics and supply-chain teams.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, operations or a related field and 10+ years of progressive procurement or purchasing leadership experience. Multi-site or national procurement experience is required. Food manufacturing, food distribution or protein-processing experience is a strong asset. Strong negotiation, supplier management, analytical and team-leadership skills are expected; SCMP or another relevant designation is an asset.
