Manufacturing Lead – Custom Wood Doors & Millwork

JP Recruitment is hiring a hands-on Manufacturing Lead for an Ontario custom-wood manufacturer in Mississauga. The role combines daily leadership, direct production-floor involvement and process improvement.

Key responsibilities:
• Lead and support production employees while remaining active on the floor.
• Coordinate daily priorities, labour allocation and customer schedules.
• Read drawings, work orders, specifications, BOMs and production instructions.
• Support complex woodworking operations and troubleshoot production issues.
• Train employees on equipment, quality, safety and work methods.
• Reduce defects and rework through root-cause and corrective-action work.
• Improve productivity, quality, material usage and workflow.

Candidate profile:
• At least 5 years in woodworking, cabinet manufacturing, millwork, custom doors or a similar environment.
• Experience as a lead hand, supervisor, senior operator or hands-on production leader.
• Strong understanding of woodworking equipment, processes, drawings and quality standards.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
• Comfort with ERP, production tracking or manufacturing software.
• Forklift certification and Lean experience are assets.
