Manufacturing Operations Manager - Heavy Industrial

JP Recruitment is recruiting a Manufacturing Operations Manager for an established heavy-industrial manufacturer in the Edmonton region. The position leads a complex, high-volume production operation.

Key responsibilities:
• Lead daily operations and develop supervisors, frontline leaders and production teams.
• Maintain a strong safety culture and meet health, safety and environmental standards.
• Deliver production, quality, cost and operating targets.
• Partner with maintenance and engineering to improve equipment reliability and uptime.
• Identify bottlenecks and improve throughput, efficiency and consistency.
• Monitor KPIs and support continuous improvement, shutdown planning and capital initiatives.

Candidate profile:
• Significant leadership experience in heavy manufacturing or industrial production.
• Experience managing supervisors and large frontline teams.
• Strong understanding of production, maintenance, reliability, safety and continuous improvement.
• Steel, metals, foundry, mining or continuous-process experience is highly desirable.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
• Education in engineering, manufacturing, operations or business is an asset.

Published salary: CAD 130,000–160,000 per year, with competitive overall compensation based on experience.
