Director of Manufacturing | Heavy Industrial Operations

JP Recruitment is conducting a confidential search for an established Canadian industrial manufacturer in Edmonton. The position leads overall manufacturing performance in a complex heavy-industrial environment.

Key responsibilities:
• Lead manufacturing operations and management, supervisory and frontline teams.
• Improve safety, production, quality, reliability, cost and throughput performance.
• Establish and monitor operating metrics and continuous-improvement plans.
• Partner with maintenance, engineering, quality and supply-chain functions.
• Contribute to capital planning, equipment upgrades and longer-term manufacturing strategy.
• Build leadership capability and support succession planning.

Candidate profile:
• Significant leadership experience in heavy manufacturing or industrial operations.
• Strong production and plant-operations background.
• Demonstrated success improving safety, productivity, reliability, quality and cost performance.
• Experience developing supervisors and operational leaders.
• Strong decision-making, problem-solving and communication skills.
• Post-secondary education in engineering, manufacturing, operations or a related field is an asset.

Published base salary: CAD 160,000–170,000 depending on experience. Competitive overall compensation and relocation assistance are also offered.
