Process Engineer – Heat Transfer & Process Equipment

JP Recruitment is conducting a confidential search for a Calgary-based Canadian manufacturer of custom heat-transfer and process equipment. The Process Engineer supports projects from estimating through fabrication, installation and commissioning.

Key responsibilities:
• Perform and optimize thermal/process simulations using HTRI, FRNC or comparable tools.
• Complete equipment, line and relief-valve sizing calculations.
• Develop and stamp PFDs, P&IDs, heat/material balances and datasheets.
• Apply relevant ASME, CSA and API standards.
• Review vendor and peer engineering calculations and designs.
• Coordinate with project management, estimating, procurement, quality and drafting.
• Support projects through installation, commissioning and startup.

Candidate profile:
• Engineering degree in a relevant discipline.
• 5–10 years of process-engineering experience.
• Registered or eligible as a P.Eng. in Alberta, British Columbia and/or Saskatchewan.
• Strong thermal simulation, process design and equipment-sizing experience.
• Working knowledge of ASME, CSA and API standards.
• HTRI, FRNC or similar software experience is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills.
