Senior Contract Professional – Post-Award Contract Management

About the opportunity

MatchBox is seeking a Senior Contract Professional for a 12-month assignment supporting a major British Columbia utility provider.

The role is centered on post-award contract management for medium- to high-complexity agreements.

Key responsibilities

• Responsibilities include change management, payment administration, submittals, commercial issue resolution, contract closeout and coordination with project teams, suppliers and procurement.
• The professional will help keep contracts progressing by addressing risk, clarifying obligations and supporting commercial decisions throughout delivery.
• The assignment is hybrid, with regular office presence and occasional project-site travel.

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate has substantial hands-on contract administration or commercial-management experience after award, including changes, payment processes, contractor correspondence and issue resolution.
• Experience in utilities, infrastructure, construction, engineering or major projects is highly relevant.
• Candidates should be able to interpret contract language, organize multiple active files, communicate clearly with technical and commercial stakeholders and manage risk in a disciplined way.
• Procurement and supplier-management experience is an asset.

Position details

• 12-month contract based in Vancouver, BC.
• Hybrid arrangement with three days per week in office and occasional site travel.
• Public rate range: CAD 52–66 per hour.
