About the opportunity

MatchBox is recruiting a Manager of IT Operations and Services for a Vancouver public-sector client.

Reporting to the IT director, the manager leads infrastructure and end-user support functions and is accountable for reliable, secure and scalable enterprise technology services.

Key responsibilities

• The role oversees service-desk and infrastructure teams, applies service-management practices, supports critical business cycles and drives operational improvements.
• It combines people leadership with responsibility for platform stability, service quality, security alignment, prioritization and coordination across technology and business teams.

Qualifications

• Candidates should have progressive IT operations or infrastructure leadership experience, including responsibility for service delivery, end-user support and enterprise platforms.
• People-management experience, familiarity with IT service management, security and operational controls, and the ability to translate organizational needs into technology priorities are important.
• Strong vendor/stakeholder communication, incident and problem-management skills, planning discipline and experience improving service reliability are expected.

Position details

• Full-time permanent role in Vancouver with 37.5 hours per week and two days per week on site downtown.
• Public listing range: CAD 103,075–130,200.
