Maxwell Management Group is recruiting a General Manager for an established retirement-living community in Metro Vancouver / the Lower Mainland. This is a broad operational leadership role with responsibility for people, resident experience, service quality, marketing, revenue, profitability and financial performance.

Leadership and operations

• Provide overall leadership across day-to-day operations and resident-service delivery.

Commercial and financial performance

• Support marketing, occupancy, revenue and profitability objectives.
• Monitor budgets, expenses and financial performance.

• Translate strategic priorities into clear operating plans and measurable outcomes.

Availability and operating expectations

The General Manager must be available on call when required and able to work occasional evenings or weekends or respond to emergency situations when necessary to support community operations.

Compensation

• Published annual salary range: $95,000–$115,000.
• Comprehensive benefits.
• RRSP contributions.
• Annual bonus opportunity of up to 25%.

• Degree or diploma in Business Administration, Hospitality, Sales or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in hotel, sales, hospitality or a related service sector.
• Retirement-living or seniors-housing experience is strongly preferred.
• At least 2 years of supervisor- or manager-level responsibility.
• Demonstrated people-leadership capability and ability to develop leaders.
• Financial acumen, including understanding of revenue, expenses, budgets and profitability.
• Strong relationship-building and service orientation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
