Role description
Role overview
GHRC is recruiting a detail-oriented Mortgage Fulfillment/Underwriting Assistant in Belleville to support review, preparation and processing of mortgage applications for a local mortgage company. The position begins part-time, includes in-office training and can transition to work from home, with potential for full-time hours.
Key responsibilities
- Review mortgage applications and supporting documents for completeness and accuracy.
- Review income, employment, banking, tax, property and credit documentation.
- Identify missing, inconsistent or potentially problematic information before lender submission.
- Prepare complete and organized mortgage submission packages.
- Review lender commitments and identify outstanding conditions or documentation.
- Follow up on missing documents and information.
- Track mortgage files from initial submission through lender approval and final funding.
- Maintain accurate electronic files and records.
- Communicate with internal team members about file status, documentation requirements and outstanding conditions.
- Support other mortgage administration and processing tasks as needed.
Work model and compensation
The role starts with in-office training and then offers work-from-home capability. It begins part-time with the possibility of full-time hours. Pay is CA$22.00 per hour.
Qualifications
- Experience in mortgage administration, mortgage processing, lending, banking or financial services is strongly preferred.
- Knowledge of mortgage documentation and lender requirements is an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify missing or inconsistent information.
- Excellent organization and time-management skills.
- Ability to manage multiple files and deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Comfort handling confidential financial and personal information.
- Proficiency with computers, email, document-management systems and Microsoft Office.
- Ability to work independently and accurately in a deadline-driven environment.
- Reliable internet and a quiet home-office space are required for remote work.
