Security Hardening Engineer

Role overview

Poly Tech Talent is recruiting a Security Hardening Engineer for a remote Canadian contract focused on Microsoft identity, endpoint and collaboration environments. The three-month engagement strengthens security configuration across Active Directory, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft 365 and Intune and is intended for an engineer able to assess current settings, implement hardening measures and document operational controls.

Responsibilities

• Assess and harden Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID configurations.
• Review Microsoft 365 security settings, policies and administrative controls.
• Strengthen endpoint-management and compliance settings in Intune.
• Identify configuration risks and implement prioritized remediation.
• Document changes, baselines and operational recommendations for client teams.

• Strong hands-on Active Directory and Entra ID security experience.
• Experience hardening Microsoft 365 and Intune environments.
• Knowledge of identity, privileged access, endpoint and cloud-security controls.
• Ability to work independently and produce clear implementation documentation.
• Availability for a short-term remote Canadian consulting engagement.

Remote three-month Canadian contract with a published range of approximately $100–$120/hour. The current role is visible through the official PolyCareers inventory; because its individual ATS link is not stably exposed, RBB uses the official job-search page as the nearest valid application route.
