AI Software Engineer

Role overview

A Canadian AI and Data team is hiring an AI Software Engineer to build and deploy production machine-learning and generative-AI solutions. The role sits at the intersection of software engineering, AI/ML, cloud and MLOps, taking ideas from experimentation into reliable systems such as LLM-powered applications, retrieval-augmented generation, intelligent document processing, vector search and agentic AI.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy AI/ML applications and services.
• Build pipelines for model training, evaluation, deployment and monitoring.
• Develop LLM applications using RAG, vector databases and AI agents.
• Create APIs and automation around AI/ML solutions.
• Deploy workloads on Microsoft Azure and modern enterprise data platforms.
• Improve testing, monitoring, CI/CD and MLOps/LLMOps practices.

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical/Computer Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years building AI, ML or software applications.
• Strong Python and SQL.
• Production software/API/cloud engineering experience.
• Experience moving AI/ML solutions into production.
• Azure and modern data-platform experience; familiarity with LLMs, RAG, vector databases, prompt engineering and agents.
