Senior ASIC Verification Engineer

Role overview

A global optical-networking technology company is hiring a Senior ASIC Verification Engineer in Ottawa. The engineer works on advanced digital components used in next-generation optical transmission products, collaborating with designers, verification engineers, architects and system engineers to validate blocks and subsystems before they move through the development lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Develop verification strategies, test plans and testbenches using SystemVerilog UVM and/or C.
• Apply formal verification, functional coverage and simulation techniques.
• Debug failures, monitor regression testing and report status.
• Validate functional blocks and subsystems for high-speed networking products.
• Work with system engineers to understand architecture and functional requirements.

• Degree in Electrical/Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
• Strong digital verification and simulation experience.
• Knowledge of formal methods and functional coverage.
• Familiarity with OTN, B100G and Ethernet protocols.
• Python, C/C++, SystemC, Make, Bash or object-oriented programming.
• Must be based in Ottawa and available on-site at least three days per week.
