Architectural Millwork - Senior Project Manager

About the opportunity

The Staffing Exchange is recruiting a Senior Project Manager for an established custom architectural millwork manufacturer in Mississauga. The role owns complex millwork projects from contract award through engineering, fabrication, installation and final closeout for commercial, institutional, hospitality and retail environments.

Key responsibilities

• Manage architectural millwork projects independently from award to client sign-off.
• Review contracts, architectural drawings, specifications and shop drawings to confirm scope and resolve discrepancies.
• Coordinate engineering, detailing, purchasing, production, shipping, installers and subcontractors.
• Own budgets, schedules, cost tracking, change orders, invoicing and project financial performance.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, samples, approvals and project documentation.
• Verify site dimensions and readiness and coordinate deliveries and installation.
• Resolve field issues and serve as the primary client contact throughout delivery.
• Complete deficiencies, as-built documentation, warranties and project closeout.

Qualifications

• Approximately 10+ years of architectural millwork or closely related industry experience, including at least five years managing relevant projects.
• Direct custom architectural wood-millwork experience is essential.
• Experience managing substantial commercial millwork packages, budgets, fabrication coordination and installation.
• Strong knowledge of materials, construction methods, shop drawings and manufacturing requirements.
• Working knowledge of AWMAC/AWI standards.
• Strong client communication and ability to manage projects independently.
• Experience with tools such as Bluebeam, AutoCAD, Procore, Microsoft Project, Crow’s Nest or similar.
• Able to work fully on site in Mississauga and travel to project sites as required.
• Must be authorized to work in Canada without sponsorship.

Position details

• Permanent, full-time and fully on-site in Mississauga, Ontario.
• Published salary: CAD 90,000–130,000 depending on experience, with flexibility for the right candidate.
