Role description
Multi-site operations leadership role overseeing five Material Recovery Facilities across Canada. Based in Ontario, the Area Manager owns operational performance, financial results, safety, people leadership, capital planning and continuous improvement. Responsibilities include P&L and COGS reviews, budget/forecast support, facility visits, leadership development, regulatory compliance, capital planning and collaboration with commodity sales and business-development teams.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Engineering or a related field, or high-school/GED plus at least four years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree. Demonstrated operational leadership and multi-site experience, strong financial/operational performance management, valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel extensively are required. Recycling, manufacturing, industrial processing or environmental-services experience, 10+ years of relevant experience and French-English bilingual capability are preferred.
Additional information
Full-time position based in Ontario with approximately 50–70% travel across Canada. Published base salary is CAD $170,000–$215,000 plus bonus; relocation assistance may be available. Applications are directed to info@indemand.ca.
