Operations Manager / Future General Manager (Manufacturing)

Permanent manufacturing leadership role with a genuine succession path toward General Manager in a growing high-mix custom metal-fabrication / engineered-to-order business. The Operations Manager owns production, scheduling, workflow, labour, quality, safety, capacity and continuous improvement, strengthens manufacturing KPIs and ERP/MRP disciplines, develops supervisors/trades, partners with Engineering and Finance, plans capacity and plant layout, evaluates CAPEX and automation technologies and progressively assumes broader financial, commercial and P&L responsibility.

Approximately 10+ years of progressive manufacturing experience with meaningful leadership responsibility. Strong preference for metal fabrication, truck equipment, commercial vehicles, trailers, sheet metal, industrial equipment or engineered-to-order environments, while adjacent industrial sectors may be considered. Practical scheduling/capacity/workflow/safety/quality/Lean experience, people leadership, ERP/MRP/KPI use, CAPEX exposure, financial understanding and strong root-cause problem solving are sought. Engineering/technology/operations/business education is preferred, while exceptional trades-trained leaders may be considered.
