Role description
Permanent onsite technical-support role for an industrial automation/equipment manufacturer. The specialist is a primary remote-support contact, diagnoses automation/equipment alerts and failures, performs remote diagnostics and corrective actions, prioritizes incidents, prepares equipment-health reports, improves support procedures and monitoring tools, coordinates onsite service, supports retrofit opportunities and smaller automation programming projects, and visits customer sites for assessments approximately 20% of the time.
Qualifications
Diploma in Electrical Engineering Technology, Automation & Robotics Technology or equivalent, plus 5+ years of technical support, service or automation experience. Hands-on Siemens STEP 7/TIA Portal and/or Rockwell experience, industrial Ethernet/Profibus networks, SEW/Siemens drives, schematic reading and strong troubleshooting/documentation skills are required. French is an asset.
Additional information
Permanent full-time onsite role in Richmond Hill, Ontario. Typical business hours with occasional evenings/weekends. Published compensation target is $80,000–$90,000 plus employer-paid benefits, HWSA and RRSP match. Recruiter contact: Misty Mushynsky (misty@indemand.ca).
