Role description
Permanent controls/automation engineering role covering the full lifecycle of industrial automation projects from electrical design and programming through commissioning and customer support. Responsibilities include PLC/HMI/robot/sensor programming, electrical drawings and bills of material, controls design, robotic-system implementation, troubleshooting, remote and onsite support, equipment integration/commissioning, safety reviews, customer training, control-panel/equipment wiring support and technical documentation.
Qualifications
Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering degree strongly preferred, with closely related education plus highly relevant experience considered. Requires 5+ years of electrical-controls design/programming, expert AutoCAD, strong robot programming including RAPID or equivalent, PLC/HMI/robotics/industrial automation experience, understanding of Canadian electrical standards, strong troubleshooting and ability to travel up to 50%. Valid driver’s licence and passport required.
Additional information
Permanent full-time onsite role in Richmond Hill, Ontario. Published compensation target is $90,000–$115,000 plus employer-paid benefits, HWSA and RRSP match. Most travel is within the GTA with occasional international travel. Recruiter contact: Misty Mushynsky (misty@indemand.ca).
