Safety Professional

Jetstream Personnel Consulting is recruiting a Safety Professional for an industrial employer in Edmonton. The role supports health, safety and environmental programs, compliance, inspections, training records and incident prevention.

Responsibilities

• Maintain HSE records including incident reports, inspections, training, near misses, observations and JSA/FLRA documentation.
• Develop and update local HSE processes, procedures and forms.
• Track certifications, safety meetings and employee training.
• Coordinate inspections for cranes, forklifts, fall protection, fire extinguishers and other systems.
• Manage PPE inventory and ordering.
• Maintain contractor-compliance platforms such as ISNetworld and PEC Premier.
• Conduct workplace inspections, identify hazards and recommend corrective/preventive actions.
• Investigate incidents and support corrective measures.
• Maintain electronic and paper safety records.
• Support written safety programs, annual goals, training and safety communications.
• Oversee behaviour-based safety initiatives and prepare monthly performance reports.

• 1–2 years of Health & Safety experience.
• Excellent organization and time management.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation and best practices.
• Microsoft Office and electronic record-keeping experience are assets.

Conditions
