General Accountant

Role overview

Landmark Search Group is recruiting a General Accountant for a stable and growing Vancouver real-estate organization. Reporting to the Controller and joining a larger accounting team, the role supports property accounting through monthly reporting, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, tenant-account work and budget/reporting administration.

Responsibilities

• Generate and distribute financial statements and related reports from Yardi and assist with budget-comparison and management summaries.
• Code and process invoices, match purchase orders, record approved invoices in Yardi Voyager and manage recurring AP entries.
• Handle bank deposits, cash receipts, tenant-account reconciliations and AR follow-up.
• Complete assigned bank reconciliations and maintain financial and invoice records.
• Track tenant lease-document status and support general accounting/administrative projects.

• Approximately 2–3 years of property-management accounting experience.
• Experience with accounts payable/receivable, monthly reporting and budgeting support.
• At least two years of bank-reconciliation and accounts-payable experience are specifically requested.
• Yardi/Yardi Voyager experience and strong accuracy/organization.
• Professional, team-oriented approach and ability to learn quickly.

Permanent full-time, five days per week in the downtown Vancouver office. Published salary is $57,000–$65,000 with dental, extended health, paid time off, RRSP matching and vision care.
