Senior Property Accountant

Role overview

Landmark Search Group is recruiting a Senior Property Accountant for a large property-management accounting team in downtown Vancouver. The role is responsible for accurate property financial reporting, account analysis and reconciliations while also supporting junior and intermediate accounting staff.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial-statement packages and variance analysis.
• Reconcile AR, AP, tenant ledgers, bank and balance-sheet accounts.
• Complete operating-cost and property-tax reconciliations and review recurring or adjusting journal entries.
• Support year-end working papers, annual budgets and ad hoc reporting.
• Provide training and supervision to less-senior accounting staff.

• About 5 years of accounting experience, including property-management accounting.
• Commercial property accounting experience is specifically requested.
• CPA studies or progression toward the designation.
• Strong Yardi, Excel and Microsoft Office capability.
• Excellent communication, analytical, interpersonal and time-management skills.

Permanent full-time Vancouver role. Current public listings show $80,000–$95,000 CAD with paid time off, dental care, extended health coverage and RRSP matching. Landmark’s official job board is used as the application destination.
