Tax Manager

Role overview

Landmark Search Group is recruiting a Tax Manager for a well-established downtown Vancouver company. Reporting to senior tax and executive leadership, the manager supports end-to-end Canadian and U.S. tax compliance and reporting and has review/delegation responsibilities with room for advancement in an in-office tax team.

Responsibilities

• Drive Canadian and U.S. corporate tax compliance, including federal and state/provincial filings.
• Prepare and maintain complex year-end tax working papers.
• Prepare periodic and year-end tax provisions, journal entries, reconciliations, true-ups and installment calculations.
• Provide tax calculations and information for financial-statement disclosures.
• Draft initial responses to tax authorities and support tax-account maintenance.
• Review/delegate work and contribute to forecasting and tax-team delivery.

• CPA designation required.
• Minimum four years in a tax-focused role, ideally in a larger public-practice/CPA firm.
• Strong knowledge of tax accounting entries, reconciliations and tax-account maintenance.
• Private equity, fund-management or real-estate tax exposure is an asset.
• U.S. tax experience is not required by the posting.

Full-time, 100% in-office role in downtown Vancouver. Published base salary is $100,000–$120,000 plus bonus and benefits including health/dental, life insurance, paid time off, RRSP matching and vision care.
