Senior Cost Accountant

Role overview

Landmark Search Group is partnering with a Port Coquitlam manufacturing organization to add a Senior Cost Accountant to its accounting team. The role is designed for a CPA or late-stage CPA candidate with manufacturing and cost-accounting experience who can analyze financial performance, support management reporting and provide insight into manufacturing costs in a hybrid environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze manufacturing costs, variances and financial performance and communicate findings clearly.
• Support management reporting, budgeting/forecasting and financial-modeling work.
• Participate as a key member of the accounting team and contribute to period-end reporting.
• Apply accounting standards and maintain accurate cost-accounting information.
• Partner with operations/accounting stakeholders on performance analysis and process improvement.

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Accounting or Business.
• CPA designation or near completion of the CPA program.
• Approximately five years of accounting experience, with manufacturing and cost-accounting experience.
• Strong analytical and financial-modeling skills and ability to communicate performance.
• Working knowledge of IFRS and ASPE is an asset.

Full-time hybrid role in Coquitlam/Port Coquitlam, BC. Published salary is $90,000–$100,000 with dental, extended health, life insurance and paid time off.
