Role description
Platinum Recruiting is recruiting an Accountant in Kelowna for a growing organization. The position covers full-cycle accounting, reporting, compliance and year-end support.
Responsibilities
- Complete bank reconciliations and general-ledger account reconciliations.
- Manage banking tasks including EFT activity and banking-agreement renewals.
- Complete Statistics Canada and agriculture/food-sector reporting.
- Prepare and file GST and PST returns.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and variance analyses.
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare accruals and other period-end entries.
- Support year-end audit requirements and documentation.
Qualifications
- High-school completion plus post-secondary accounting training.
- Accounting diploma or degree is desirable.
- CPA/CGA designation or progress toward one is an advantage.
- At least 2–3 years of accounting experience.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage deadlines.
- Comfort with full-cycle accounting and reporting requirements.
