Role description
Platinum Recruiting is recruiting a Litigation Legal Assistant for a boutique law firm in Kelowna. The position supports litigation files, court documentation, client communication, scheduling and billing.
Responsibilities
- File and serve pleadings and other litigation materials.
- Communicate with clients and coordinate file information.
- Maintain litigation files and workflow.
- Prepare correspondence, pleadings, briefs and court forms.
- Proofread and format legal documents.
- Support billing, calendars, travel and deadline management.
- Coordinate work priorities with lawyers and other team members.
Qualifications
- Legal Assistant diploma or certificate.
- Previous litigation experience.
- Strong organization, communication and sense of urgency.
- Excellent attention to detail and computer skills.
- Ability to manage competing deadlines.
- PCLaw and Worldox experience are assets.
