Lead Mechanic

Lead heavy-equipment mechanic assignment with a residential and commercial paving company in Mercier.

The role supervises and trains a small mechanic team, diagnoses issues on paving and snow-removal equipment, coordinates service calls and emergencies, guides repair work and tracks equipment readiness for job sites.

The successful candidate also performs repairs when required and supports the fleet director in setting priorities so the equipment remains operational throughout the year.

About eight years of heavy-equipment mechanical experience is sought. Significant paving-equipment experience is strongly preferred, along with experience coordinating or supervising a team. A valid driver’s licence is required. Leadership, autonomy, resourcefulness and sound judgment are important.
