Electromechanic

Electromechanic position in an automated food plant in Sorel-Tracy. The successful candidate diagnoses, troubleshoots and returns automated equipment to service and participates in preventive and corrective maintenance programs.

Work includes mechanical, electrical and electromechanical interventions, installation of new equipment, documentation of work in the CMMS and participation in continuous-improvement initiatives. The role works closely with production teams to maintain line safety and availability.

A vocational diploma in electromechanics or equivalent training is required. The posting seeks at least approximately one to three years of relevant experience. PLC knowledge is an asset, as are solid mechanical fundamentals. The candidate must be able to diagnose problems quickly in an automated production environment.

Compensation is advertised at approximately $40/hour. Rotating 12-hour schedule on a 3-2-2-3 pattern, days and nights, with approximately every other weekend. The posting also mentions guaranteed overtime under the position’s conditions.
