Machinist

Permanent machinist assignment in Shawinigan in a manufacturing environment. The work focuses mainly on conventional machining and lathe operation to manufacture, repair or adjust parts according to production needs.

The successful candidate reads and interprets drawings, prepares machining operations, performs the required precision measurements and ensures part conformity. The role also helps solve technical problems encountered during manufacturing and maintains a safe, orderly workstation.

Relevant conventional-machining experience and the ability to work accurately are required. A vocational diploma in machining is considered a strong asset. Welding experience or skills are also valued. The candidate must be autonomous, detail-oriented and able to interpret technical drawings.

Pay is advertised at approximately $30/hour. Permanent day position of roughly 40 hours per week, with some flexibility and the possibility of organizing the schedule over four days depending on operational needs.
