Role description

The shipping clerk is the final operational link before orders leave Synertek. The person prepares, checks, packages, labels and coordinates orders so they leave complete, compliant, protected and on time.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare orders and track their progress with production.
  • Count, verify, package and label parts before shipment.
  • Prepare pallets and adequately protect parts for transportation.
  • Handle invoicing related to shipments.
  • Load trucks safely and ensure appropriate cargo securement.
  • Coordinate carriers and shipment priorities.
  • Communicate quickly with production when items are missing or deadlines are at risk.
  • Operate a forklift and pallet truck while following safety requirements.

Qualifications

  • Strong efficiency and ability to maintain a steady pace.
  • Accuracy with quantities, labels, destinations and documentation.
  • Strong prioritization and ability to anticipate shipping needs.
  • Collaborative approach with production, receiving and carriers.
  • Comfortable operating a forklift and pallet truck.
  • Constant focus on safety and quality.

Additional information

Conditions

  • Permanent full-time employment.
  • Weekend schedule: Friday, Saturday and Sunday, 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.
  • Posted base wage: CAD 26.70 to 29.02/hour depending on experience.
  • Weekend premium: CAD 2.96 to 3.22/hour, for a posted total compensation of CAD 29.66 to 32.24/hour.
  • Onsite work in Lévis.
