Role description

The production labourer operates the Time-Saver to produce the finish required by customers.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret manufacturing drawings.
  • Adjust Time-Saver settings based on materials and required finish.
  • Feed the machine and retrieve completed parts.
  • Sand and brush surfaces, micro-joints and edges.
  • Check work quality and adjust settings when needed.
  • Perform daily cleaning and basic machine maintenance.
  • Support related production tasks.

Qualifications

  • Factory work experience.
  • Knowledge of sheet metal is an asset.
  • Drawing reading and simple calculations.
  • Knowledge of metric and imperial measurement systems.
  • Resourcefulness, logic, autonomy, collaboration and organization.
  • Attention to detail, precision and good physical condition.

Additional information

Conditions

  • Permanent full-time employment.
  • Choice of 36-hour schedule: Friday to Sunday 6:00 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., or Monday to Thursday 4:00 p.m. to 1:30 a.m.
  • Advertised pay: CAD 25.37 to 26.64/hour depending on experience.
  • Evening or weekend premium: CAD 2.00 to 2.96/hour depending on pay step.
  • Approximately three weeks of daytime training may be required depending on experience.
