Role description

The electromechanic supports the availability, reliability and performance of Synertek equipment. The role combines rapid breakdown response, root-cause diagnosis and long-term equipment improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose failures methodically and return equipment to service quickly.
  • Investigate recurring issues and recommend durable corrective actions.
  • Document significant problems and applied solutions.
  • Build internal equipment expertise and share knowledge.
  • Identify opportunities for reliability, automation and process improvements.
  • Work across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, automation and preventive maintenance systems.

Qualifications

  • Sufficient technical foundation to work on industrial equipment.
  • Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
  • Technical curiosity and continuous-learning mindset.
  • Initiative, creativity, composure and collaboration.
  • Driver’s licence required and ability to occasionally use a personal vehicle for work.

Additional information

Conditions

  • Full-time stable 40-hour workweek.
  • Monday to Thursday 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Friday 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
  • On call every second weekend.
  • Advertised starting pay: CAD 31.43/hour and up.
  • All tools are provided.
