Role description

Synertek is looking for a welder to fabricate precise assemblies in steel, stainless steel and aluminum. The role combines MIG and TIG welding with gradual training in laser welding.

The work

  • Read plans and understand expectations before preparing the assembly.
  • Weld, grind and inspect parts to achieve a compliant and visually clean result.
  • Develop proficiency in MIG, TIG and laser welding processes.
  • Identify issues before they spread and adjust the work method.
  • Gradually become autonomous on complete production work.
  • Suggest improvements to methods, sequences and documentation when relevant.

Qualifications

  • Good welding fundamentals; the longest experience history is not the main criterion.
  • Ability to read and interpret plans and welding symbols.
  • Attention to detail, precision, aesthetic sense and manual dexterity.
  • Ability to solve problems and learn new technologies.
  • Autonomy, organization and constant focus on quality.
