Role description
TorontoJobs.ca is recruiting an Assistant Controller for a Mississauga technology company. The role supports full-cycle accounting, reconciliations and analysis, month-end/year-end close, banking, Canadian and U.S. payroll/compliance, billing and collections, vendor payments, employee expenses, tax filings and audits, financial-statement preparation, ASPE compliance and internal controls. The Assistant Controller also helps improve processes and reporting as the business rolls out a new ERP platform and works closely with the Director of Finance.
Qualifications
5+ years of relevant full-cycle financial-accounting experience including inventory management; completed CPA designation; strong Excel; ASPE knowledge; hands-on accounting-software experience, with QuickBooks and Microsoft Dynamics 365 as assets; strong accuracy, organization, problem solving and ability to work independently and collaboratively. A mix of corporate and public-accounting experience is preferred.
