Role description
TorontoJobs.ca is recruiting a part-time Canadian Tax Manager for an established North York accounting practice. The role focuses on technical review and oversight rather than high-volume preparation: reviewing T1 and T2 returns, financial statements and compilation engagements; reviewing junior staff work; providing Canadian tax guidance; answering client questions; managing workflow and quality control; mentoring staff; and taking ownership of tax matters to reduce partner workload.
Qualifications
Strong Canadian taxation and public-accounting experience; review of T1 and T2 returns, financial statements and compilation engagements; strong technical tax knowledge; ability to independently identify tax/accounting issues and work with minimal supervision. CPA designation, prior Tax Manager/reviewer experience and staff mentoring are preferred.
Additional information
Part-time, primarily in-office in North York. Stable year-round tax/accounting work, flexible environment and free on-site parking.
