Role description
TorontoJobs.ca is recruiting a Senior Accountant for a small Vaughan public-accounting firm serving owner-managed businesses and individuals. The role prepares compilation financial statements, corporate and personal tax returns, trust returns and information slips, supports review engagements, prepares year-end working papers, manages a portfolio of client files, communicates directly with clients and collaborates with partners and the accounting team. The opportunity is positioned for long-term career growth and succession planning.
Qualifications
CPA designation preferred; several years in Canadian public accounting; strong compilation and corporate-tax experience; personal tax experience; trust/T3/T4/T5 and review-engagement experience are assets; knowledge of Canadian accounting and tax principles; client-service and file-management skills. Preferred software includes CaseWare, CaseView, Taxprep and QuickBooks Online.
