Role description
TorontoJobs.ca Recruitment Division is recruiting a Canadian Tax Manager for a well-established North York accounting practice. This hands-on review role supports an expanding Canadian tax practice and an upcoming team retirement. Responsibilities include reviewing T1 and T2 returns, financial statements and compilation engagements, reviewing junior staff working papers, providing technical tax guidance, managing workflow and deadlines, answering client questions, supporting quality-control and compliance processes, mentoring staff and identifying practical tax-planning opportunities for individuals and private corporations.
Qualifications
Strong Canadian tax experience, review experience for personal and corporate returns, extensive T2 knowledge, financial-statement and compilation-review experience, strong technical knowledge of owner-managed businesses/private corporations, excellent written/verbal communication and ability to work independently. CPA or equivalent experience, public-accounting background and staff mentoring are preferred.
Additional information
Primarily in-office in North York 4–5 days per week. Four weeks paid vacation. Published salary CAD 100,000–120,000.
