Role description
TorontoJobs.ca is recruiting a Controller in Mississauga with construction-sector financial leadership responsibilities. The Controller oversees billing, AR/AP, general ledger, cost accounting, lien/lien-waiver processes and revenue recognition; coordinates budgets and forecasts; prepares monthly financial statements; maintains transaction/reporting quality control; manages tax/government reporting; documents accounting policies and internal controls; collaborates with project management on job costs and capital budgets; improves lien processes; and contributes to short- and long-term financial strategy.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; master’s or CPA is an asset; 5+ years of proven accounting experience in construction, with architecture/engineering considered; financial planning, risk, reporting and profitability analysis; AIA documentation and lien-process experience; accounting/database/analysis software proficiency; leadership, communication and decision-making skills.
Additional information
Full-time Mississauga role. Published salary CAD 120,000–175,000.
