Role description
TorontoJobs.ca is recruiting a Design Engineer for a global manufacturer building custom equipment and systems. The engineer translates technical specifications into purpose-built design solutions, creates and refines designs, conducts design reviews and approves drawings/production documents, works with sales and project management on scope and budgets, performs engineering calculations to validate structural integrity and contributes technical input during proposal and estimating phases.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Civil or Structural Engineering; at least 10 years of custom-equipment design or related experience; SolidWorks and AutoCAD 2D; knowledge of CSA-16 and ANSI/AISC 360 structural codes; strong welding-symbol, GD&T and mechanical-system integration knowledge; ability to work onsite and travel throughout North America.
Additional information
Full-time Toronto role with North American travel.
