Role description
TorontoJobs.ca is recruiting a Purchasing Coordinator for a North York food manufacturer. Reporting to the General Manager, the coordinator manages procurement, sourcing and contracts for materials, supplies, equipment and services; maintains purchase orders and stock levels; supports special orders and product research; serves as an internal contact for product/order status; coordinates transportation and shipping; performs inventory adjustments and reconciliations; supports payments and invoice matching; maintains procurement documentation and VMI records; and works with QA, Finance, Production, IT, Sales and Supply Chain.
Qualifications
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word, strong detail and organizational skills, ability to make timely decisions and work independently, strong written/verbal communication, customer service and negotiation skills, and conflict-resolution ability. Procurement, inventory, logistics and food-manufacturing experience are relevant assets.
