Role description
TorontoJobs.ca is recruiting a Senior Accountant for a North York food manufacturer. The role prepares and analyzes financial statements, manages general-ledger entries and reconciliations, oversees AP/AR, leads month-end and year-end close, supports Canadian tax compliance, budgeting and forecasting, coordinates external audits, maintains internal controls and performs variance, cost-benefit and cash-flow analysis. The accountant also supports senior management with reliable financial information and mentors junior finance staff.
Qualifications
3–5+ years of progressive accounting experience; bachelor’s in Accounting, Finance or related field; strong Canadian accounting software and advanced Excel; deep ASPE/IFRS and Canadian tax/CRA reporting knowledge; strong analytical/detail and communication skills; ability to lead/mentor. Manufacturing experience is an asset.
