Role description
TorontoJobs.ca is recruiting a Senior Accountant or Manager for a Mississauga-area public-accounting firm. The role prepares financial statements and tax returns across varied industries, performs and oversees assurance/accounting engagements, prepares working papers, communicates with clients and government agencies, prepares/reviews personal tax and T3/T4/T5/GST-HST filings, owns files through completion, identifies accounting/tax issues, trains and supervises junior staff and identifies business-development opportunities with existing and prospective clients.
Qualifications
University degree or college diploma in a relevant field; completed or in-progress CPA designation; minimum 3 years of public-accounting experience including personal/corporate tax returns; strong analytical/problem-solving, communication, client-service and deadline-management skills; independent/team capability; strong computer skills including CaseWare, Taxprep and Microsoft Office.
