Role description
TorontoJobs.ca is recruiting a Senior Tax Manager for an innovative Markham accounting firm serving small and medium-sized businesses. The manager prepares and reviews individual, corporate and small-business tax returns, provides strategic tax planning and advisory services, researches complex Canadian tax issues and legislative changes, supports audits/disputes/appeals with tax authorities, manages income tax, GST/HST and payroll compliance, collaborates with accounting colleagues and identifies additional services that can support client growth.
Qualifications
CPA designation required; CICA In-Depth Tax Course (all three levels) required; 4–7 years of Canadian tax preparation/planning experience, ideally in professional services/accounting; bachelor’s in accounting/finance or related field; strong Canadian tax law and filing knowledge; CaseWare/TaxPrep and Microsoft Office proficiency; analytical, research, communication and multi-client management skills.
