Role description
TorontoJobs.ca is recruiting a Staff Accountant for a mid-sized North York public-accounting firm. Under direct mentorship, the accountant prepares compilation/Notice-to-Reader files and investment write-ups, gains exposure to audit and review engagements, prepares T1 personal, T3 trust and T2 corporate tax returns, applies foundational GAAP/GAAS concepts and develops as a broad public-accounting professional through continuous coaching and varied client work.
Qualifications
1–2 years of public-practice experience; pursuing the CPA program; basic GAAP/GAAS understanding; strong written/verbal communication, organization, analysis and problem solving; ability to manage multiple deadlines; collaborative and proactive approach; working knowledge of CaseWare and Taxprep.
