Role description
TorontoJobs.ca Recruiting Division is recruiting a Structural Engineer (P.Eng.) for an established manufacturer of specialized lifting equipment in Scarborough. The engineer leads structural engineering from concept through production drawings, performs static and connection calculations, evaluates manufacturability, integrates structural designs with mechanical/electrical/hydraulic systems, verifies adequacy and code compliance, reviews shop drawings, supports project managers on scope/budget, contributes to proposals and estimates and mentors junior engineers, technologists and interns while supporting field installation.
Qualifications
10+ years of structural engineering, preferably custom engineering or industrial-machine design; Ontario P.Eng. required; strong structural aluminum and steel design, with concrete as an asset; expertise in ANSI/AISC A360, CSA S16/S157 and AWS/CSA welding codes; AutoCAD plus STAAD.Pro/RISA 3D or similar; hand calculations, Mathcad/Excel and strong analytical/team communication. Construction, manufacturing or infrastructure experience is beneficial.
