Role description
TorontoJobs.ca is recruiting a U.S. Tax Manager for an established North York public-accounting practice. This senior hands-on review role oversees U.S. personal and business tax work, including Forms 1040, 1120, 1120-S and 1065; reviews junior/intermediate staff files; researches federal and state tax issues; supports complex client matters and planning; manages workflow and deadlines; ensures quality-control and compliance standards; mentors staff; and helps grow the firm’s U.S. tax review function.
Qualifications
Strong U.S. public-accounting tax experience; review experience for U.S. individual and business returns; strong knowledge of Forms 1040, 1120, 1120-S and 1065; U.S. federal-tax research; ability to independently resolve technical issues and manage multiple files/deadlines. CPA, U.S. CPA, Enrolled Agent or equivalent experience is an asset; cross-border tax experience is valuable.
Additional information
Full-time, primarily in-office in North York (4–5 days/week). Four weeks paid vacation, free parking and long-term growth potential. Candidates must be based in Canada and able to work from the North York office.
