Role overview

Burke Recruiting is working with an established Vancouver hospitality business seeking a hands-on Accountant to own the day-to-day accounting function. The role suits someone who is comfortable working independently, maintaining accurate records and supporting recurring month-end activity.

Responsibilities

• Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable.
• Complete bank, credit-card and general account reconciliations.
• Handle day-to-day bookkeeping and support payroll.
• Assist with month-end accounting and maintain accurate records in accounting systems.
• Use Excel and cloud/online tools to support efficient accounting workflows.

• Several years of practical bookkeeping/accounting experience.
• Comfort working independently and taking ownership of daily accounting.
• Strong organization, reliability and technology aptitude.
• Hospitality or restaurant experience is an asset.
• Sage experience is an asset, but strong systems-learning ability is also considered.

Full-time permanent Vancouver opportunity paying up to $60,000 CAD depending on experience. Some work-from-home flexibility may be available once the person is trained and established in the role.
