Role overview
A boutique public-practice firm in Kamloops is hiring a Senior Public Practice Accountant to expand its service capabilities. The position leads compilation engagements and corporate tax work and helps launch a new Review Engagement service line while working directly with senior management and business-owner clients.
Responsibilities
- Plan, execute and finalize Review Engagements and compilation/Notice to Reader files.
- Prepare and review T2 corporate and T1 personal tax returns.
- Evaluate and implement AI/automation tools for bookkeeping and compilation workflows.
- Advise business owners and entrepreneurs on tax, finance and operational matters.
- Use CCH iFirm, CaseWare and QuickBooks Online and maintain high file standards.
- Review junior staff work and provide technical guidance.
Qualifications
- CPA designation required after CFE.
- 4–5 years of progressive Canadian public-practice experience including Review Engagements.
- Strong ASPE, compilation, T2 and T1 technical background.
- Advanced CaseWare, CCH iFirm and QuickBooks Online skills.
- Interest in technology, AI and modern accounting workflows.
Additional information
