BDR - Business Development Representative

Opportunity

SmartSkin Technologies is creating its first dedicated BDR position to generate qualified conversations for an experienced account-management team. The role is hands-on and will help shape the company’s outbound playbook rather than inherit a finished process.

Mandate

• Prospect target accounts in North America and Europe by phone, email, LinkedIn and other channels.
• Identify contacts in manufacturing facilities, qualify interest and create strong hand-offs to Account Managers.
• Develop outreach sequences, follow up on webinars and events, use plant-level intelligence and keep Salesforce data accurate.
• Track conversion results and share market feedback as the function evolves.

Location & compensation

Halifax is preferred, Fredericton is also suitable, and candidates elsewhere in Atlantic Canada may be considered. The role is primarily remote with occasional travel. Base salary is $50,000–$65,000 plus variable compensation, with company-paid health/dental benefits and Group RRSP matching.

• Meaningful experience in prospecting, business development, inside sales or another role focused on opening new conversations.
• Confidence prospecting by phone and ability to work independently, test approaches and use data to improve results.
• Clear communication with senior professionals.
• Industrial, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, food/beverage or SaaS experience is helpful but not mandatory.
