Role description
Opportunity
Discover Halifax is hiring a permanent, part-time Director, People & Culture for approximately 20 hours per week, with occasional flexibility up to 30 hours. Reporting to the CEO, the role combines strategic HR leadership with hands-on support in a visible, relatively small organization.
Focus
- Advise the CEO and leadership team on people matters.
- Strengthen performance management and leadership consistency.
- Support employee relations with discretion and sound judgment.
- Improve HR policies, processes and tools and contribute to organizational development, engagement and culture.
- Bring practical structure to core HR practices without unnecessary bureaucracy.
Qualifications
- Experienced HR generalist able to work strategically and hands-on.
- Strong judgment, discretion and emotional intelligence.
- Experience in employee relations, performance management, leadership support, policy development and organizational development.
- CPHR designation is an asset but not required.
