Role description
Opportunity
Canada Lands Company is recruiting a Development Manager for its Atlantic real estate team in Halifax. Reporting to the Director of Real Estate (Atlantic), the role advances large redevelopment programs such as Shannon Park and Pleasantville and translates development strategy into execution.
Responsibilities
- Advance planning, engineering, servicing and subdivision approvals.
- Manage planners, engineers, architects, contractors and other consultants.
- Lead procurement scopes, tendering and contract administration.
- Track schedules, budgets, risks and milestones and represent CLC with municipal, community and builder stakeholders.
- Support site activity, reporting, governance and issue resolution.
Work model
Halifax-based hybrid role with regular site involvement and collaboration with colleagues in Montréal. Relocation support is not provided.
Qualifications
- 5–7 years of real estate development experience with accountability for delivery outcomes.
- Owner-side development experience or a comparable role balancing schedules, budgets, approvals and execution.
- Background may include planning, engineering, architecture, urban design, landscape architecture or a related field.
- Comfort with construction sites, drawings and technical discussions.
- French is an asset but not required.
